PULSEOR · The AI health operating system for families

Health,understoodin every language.

PULSEOR gathers a household's medical records, explains them in the language each member speaks, and surrounds them with people who can help.

01 · The case

The record exists. The understanding does not.

0 in 5

people in the United States speak a language other than English at home.

21.7% of residents age 5 and older · U.S. Census Bureau, ACS 2018–2022
0%

of U.S. adults have proficient health literacy, even in their first language.

National Assessment of Adult Literacy · AHRQ / HHS
Scattered

Many portals, no single picture

A family's care is split across hospitals, clinics, laboratories and pharmacies, each holding a partial view behind its own login.

Coded

Written for clinicians, not for kitchens

Discharge notes arrive in abbreviations and billing codes. In a second language, even a simple instruction becomes a guess.

Alone

Care rests on one tired person

Usually an adult child, often miles away, tracks refills and follow-ups by memory and group chat, and hears about an emergency last.

02 · The platform

One household, seen whole.

A records viewer tells a family what happened. PULSEOR tells them what it means, what was missed and what to do next.

Unified Health Records

Every source, gathered into one record.

Hospital systems such as Epic, Cerner, athenahealth and Meditech, along with laboratories and pharmacies, connect through the standard interfaces the 21st Century Cures Act requires.

AI Medical Simplification · Visit Intelligence

Medical language, made plain in your own.

Clinical notes are rewritten in plain language, in six languages at launch. Before each appointment PULSEOR prepares what changed and what to ask; afterward, it explains what the doctor said.

Family Health Graph · Household Memory

A family account that respects every individual.

Members, medications, providers and consent bound into one permissioned network, with a caregiver dashboard and a continuous memory of what changed.

Care Gap Detection

What slipped through, found in time.

Each member's history is read against recognized clinical guidelines, surfacing the screening, vaccine or follow-up that quietly went missing.

Emergency Mode

When seconds matter, the essentials are already there.

Allergies, conditions, medications, language and who to call, readable from the lock screen by any first responder.

03 · PULSEOR Connect

Software can inform a family. Only people can show up.

PULSEOR Connect is a micro emergency network of vetted neighbors, volunteers and paid helpers close enough to drive someone to an appointment, interpret at the bedside, handle paperwork or simply sit with a patient when the family is far away.

  • Rides
  • In-person interpretation
  • Paperwork
  • Companionship
  • Emergency response
  1. A need arises

A family member asks for help, or Emergency Mode or Sentinel raises an alert.

  2. The right neighbor is found

Nearby vetted helpers are matched by skill, language and availability.

  3. Someone says yes

One helper accepts. The family sees who is coming, and when.

  4. Everyone stays informed

Caregivers follow the task to completion, wherever they are.

04 · Hardware · In development

PULSEOR Sentinel™ A guardian worn like skin.

Form
A thin, flexible epidermal patch, designed to be worn continuously.
Edge AI
Readings are pre-screened on the patch itself. Routine signals stay local.
Distress detection
Built to recognize meaningful changes that suggest someone needs help.
Escalation
Flagged events reach PULSEOR, then the family and nearest Connect neighbors.

Sentinel is an early-stage hardware program. Its sensing capabilities and regulatory pathway are under development, and it is not yet available.

05 · Architecture

From raw record to clear answer, in four layers.

04 · Application

The mobile experience, the caregiver dashboard and Emergency Mode.

03 · Intelligence

A foundation model that answers from the patient's own record through retrieval, governed by a clinical review layer.

02 · Normalization

Sources mapped to a common data model, de-duplicated and translated from clinical codes into structured meaning. ICD-10 · CPT · LOINC · RxNorm · SNOMED CT

01 · Ingestion

Standard FHIR interfaces to hospital and clinic systems, laboratories and pharmacies. FHIR R4 · Cures Act APIs

“The defensible advantage is not the model. It is the pipeline, the clinical mapping and the memory.”PULSEOR design principle

Privacy and trust

Trust is designed, not declared.

Designed around HIPAA

Protected health information is handled under the safeguards HIPAA sets out, from storage and access to every vendor that touches it.

Each adult owns their record

Sharing is granted person by person and purpose by purpose, and can be withdrawn at any time.

Clinical review built in

Guidance is grounded in the member's own record and checked by a clinical review layer.

Language as a matter of safety

Translation follows medical interpretation practice, so meaning survives the move between languages.

Who it serves

Two doors in. One standard of care.

Direct to families

A household subscription

Beginning with multilingual and immigrant households, for whom the distance between a record and its meaning is widest.

06 · Origin

Care rarely fails for lack of medicine. It fails for lack of understanding.

Fady SeleemFounder, PULSEOR
Founder and Executive Chairman, Seleem Inc.

PULSEOR was founded by Fady Seleem, who works as an Arabic and English medical and court interpreter. In exam rooms and hospital corridors he has stood between the doctor and the family, and seen how much depends on a single sentence being understood.

Before PULSEOR, he spent two decades in digital media, content strategy and education technology, building for audiences across Egyptian, Arab and American cultures. PULSEOR joins those two lives: the discipline of interpretation and the craft of building at scale.

PULSEOR is a subsidiary of Seleem Inc., the Austin-based holding company he founded and chairs.

Care travels further when everyone understands.

We welcome conversations with health systems, payers, employers, clinicians, investors and community leaders who share that conviction.
